Susan Orpen completed a BA degree at Unisa and under the guidance of lecturer and watercolourist Marion Arnold, she became very interested in the watercolour work of Paul Klee and the early abstract watercolours of Kandinsky.
She joined the Watercolour Society of South Africa and paints in a number of genres. Although known for her wildlife work, she enjoys painting landscapes as well as portraiture.
Susan Orpen’s watercolours are in private collections around the world and she also offers studio classes throughut the year offering -

Keith Alexander is known locally and abroad and has created a substantial number of exquisite paintings. He died in 1998 but left behind some special and unique art works. He used a rare technique of combining clear, almost photographic, realism with surreal images or effects.
His major theme is the Namib Desert, and those who know or have visited the desert will appreciate his amazing skill in capturing the desert exactly as he saw it. Keith Alexander’s work lives on through the prints listed on his website gallery.

Pauline’s work focuses on aspects of farming. She grew up on a farm in the Free State and she has a deeply rooted understanding for landscape, cattle and farmers.
She has been included in various exhibitions and achieved great success, and her work is widely known and collected by various private and corporate collectors locally and abroad. She is also renowned for her charcoal drawings.
She studied BA Fine Arts at the University of the Free State, obtaining Honours Colours in Arts and Culture.
She has won numerous awards for her works and her work also forms part of the Oliewenhuis Art Museum’s permanent collection.
She is dedicated to portraying the lives of farmers who have devoted their skills to the land. She is a full time working artist, constantly exploring her own expression through various materials and media.
